The quality of Bamboo's work really sets them apart
Why Bamboo?
“ According to legend, the Chinese bamboo tree takes five years to grow. During the first four years, it barely grows at all, staying underground and seemingly doing nothing. It is only in the fifth year that the bamboo tree suddenly shoots up, growing as much as 80 feet in just six weeks. ”
We won't take five years to build your software, but we will ensure our solution is built upon a strong foundation.

Mission & Values
There's a lot of messy code out there. We want to do our small part to help clean it up, even if we're just throwing little starfish back into the ocean one at a time.
We're honest with our clients, our colleagues, and ourselves. We do the right thing because it's the right thing. Our clients can trust us.
We don't settle for mediocre. Quality doesn't mean over-engineered. Heavily emphasizing education is how we maintain quality.
They say it killed the cat, but it's what keeps us always learning, always growing, always improving. Always asking why and how.

I highly recommend working with Bamboo; they're good at what they do.
Owner & Principal
Michael started Bamboo in early 2020 to help businesses solve hard problems with software.
He started his professional career on the exotic derivatives desk of Societe Generale in NYC, helping to market structured products to institutional clients. Discovering a passion for code, he switched to a purely software role building tools and systems to provide critical support to the bank's Asset Backed Products desk.
Michael then moved to a nearby $20bn hedge fund - BlueMountain Capital Management. There, he worked alongside quantum computing PhDs, MIT and ivy-league grads, and 20+ year Wall Street veterans, building systems to support the post-trade operations of the firm.
He moved back to Ohio in his early 30s to be closer to family, one of the best decisions of his life.
Michael is obsessed with learning new things and learning them properly. He loves reading, preferring the classics to be sure the book is worth his limited time.
He has two bachelor's degrees from The University of Akron, one in Applied Mathematics and one in Accounting. He also has an MBA from France's #2 business school, ESSEC.
Michael is the proud father of three three-and-under (so far!), volunteers at his church as a cantor and member of the Knights of Columbus, and most days just feels lucky to be alive after surviving cancer in his late 20s.
